This blog is a mirror of the journal I am writing on The Lost Colony Alumni site. That site is members-only, but there are people who aren't members or even connected with The Colony that are interested in reading. To them - welcome!
One of the goals in writing this journal is to expand, update and open the journal I wrote in 2003 - to make it more accessible to those unfamiliar with The Colony.
I expect to have something to say every day from now through August. Sometimes long meandering posts, lots of explanatory texts, and many posts will more probably consist of "Sure is hot today."
Also I am shamelessly sentimental and sometimes downright maudlin, so you'd best get used to it.
(Mary here) Don, I still have your 2003 Journal -- all printed out, and in a 3" binder! It'll be fun to occasionally look and compare how different days throughout the summer of 2011 compare and contrast with 2003!
