Director's Chair

During rehearsals the director, Robert Richmond, sits in his elevated director's chair.

  1. Is that a "pageant" runway in front of him? I want to be a judge at the Miss Lost Colony Pageant!!

  2. So this gives him the point of view of someone sitting where, one of the light towers?

  3. You guys are just being silly... Run your finger horizontally from his butt, to somewhere behind him ( and off the picture frame ) and you'll wind up somewhere about the "crossover" in the audience.

But something JUST struck me... After doing the show for six summers, it NEVER occurred to me that architecturally there should be a horizontal plank/log running a few feet below the palisade above Father Martin's and Eleanor's cabins. Something would have to be there to support the vertical posts, and we all know it's on the other side, the "sewnd soide, mate" of the fort. Exactly where it needs to be so them murdering savages can climb up and slit the sentry's throat!
