I don't get to Morrison Grove (the company housing) very often. I'm too damn old for that level of carousing. No - not too old - just "been there, done that."
The big news is that The Grove now has wi-fi internet service.
I know, I know - there are readers who remember when The Grove was built in the 1960s and there wasn't even cable television until around 1990.
The interesting thing is that the kids expect things like wi-fi to be provided. Like the right to wi-fi is in the Constitution or something.
Love my wi-fi.
I remember two years spent as housing managers, along with Mary. There is not enough money in the world! I never finished a meal all summer. "Le, I can't get my fridge to close" Well, its July and you haven't defrosted it all summer so the ice is 3" thick!
ReplyDelete(Mary here) I also remember an early June evening -- the night of the Tony Awards, which I really wanted to see -- running around Mo Grove to see if ANYONE had some way of watching it. There was no cable, nothing. I had a little portable TV, so I listened to the awards through a lot of "snow" on the horrible reception that I had.
